Not an issue, although an empty folder was created to prevent that warning.

I've discovered because online update didn't work. It never finished updating…..
I did it a manual update in telnet, and I saw that error 404.
But the problematic package which made a neverending update, was the picon ipk which is on sdg feed. srp-full.220x132-190x102.dark.on.white (2018-10-22--21-44-07).
After 5 minutes it hadn't still been downloaded.
I uninstalled it, and the update has got working again in less that one minute.

That package has 16204 picons/files inside. So I guess you need a fast (flash) disk ...

I've downloaded directly from picons.eu (to /tmp folder) , and in less than one minute it has been installed.

I have no idea... But do you have a script to syncronize picons from picons.eu, in order to have them available on feeds?

no.
I have always downloaded directly from picons.eu, and installed localy and manually from /tmp, because the picons on feeds were always old.
But since I installed sdg 6 I saw that there were new ones and I installed from feed.
Today, when trying to update online I found that it was a neverending download, so I removed the feed versions, and installed localy again as I've been doing last years.

Maybe installing them from /tmp makes the difference? (Since /tmp is stored on memory)?

Next time try to install picons from command line.

I think when you are doing this from UI, it users as temporary space the disk, so if your disk is slow, download is slow as well.

Now I've tried online update on my SF4008, and it happens the same as on ET 10K. neverending update, I've killed it at 6 minutes.
I've tried to do it from command line. The problem is still the same. 3, 4, 5 minutes and waiting.

But If I remove the previous package, and install it, it does it very fast !! Less than 5 seconds !!!
The problem only appears when Upgrading.

I remember, on OpenPli some time ago, that when doing online updates, logs were seen on the screen while working…. downloading, installing…. configuring…..
Is there any way of getting again this text on screen, instead of "Unattended Upgrade in progress…." ????
