1- What are the differences between Software management's, software update vs. using a usb stick to cold boot and install the latest Satdreamgr image? In other words, which is the correct method to use?

2- Will SDG Vu+ Imagedownloader install the latest Satdreamgr image if it is downloaded via internet in to flash?

in any case you can upgrade online your image (and not loosing anything inside).
the other ways,are good for images that do not support online update...
