    These are excellent news. :)
What further improvements can we expect by switching to kernel 4.8.3 ?

This is the only info I've seen in public changelog of OE-Alliance.

    No further info are known.

I see. At least MIS support is not being regarded anymore as a feature for some freaks but regarded as necessary.

Sure through this forum it was become available, then ATV used our patches and port to the hunder receivers that supports.

TBS for several months was selling like crazy, and totally ingore our requests (and requests made by others....).

Paying 250+ € to TBS was madness, now you almost get a receiver on that price with Multistream!

It's nice to see new and better tuners in receivers!

But guys don't forget that average sat users don't care for those features, so asking from average sat users to pay for those features is too much! The average just want a working receiver

Well I mostly agree with you and yes it is a lot of money for buying a TBS 5927/6903 which are quite new models and though still cannot receive DVB-S2X. Anyway, these are made for PC reception where you have other nice possibilities like showing up a detailed spectrum. And hardware (drivers) always get better if there are competitors on the market. We must see if the appearance of MIS on standalone receivers will have positive effects here.

Indeed the average user wants just to watch his stations and now that Octagon started with the SF4008 offering MIS more and more people get used to it and hardly would choose any other receiver that might not be able receiving them. Here in Germany we have a lot of Italians and i bet if they just all knew not everybody would pay for Tivùsat or even Sky Italia which is quite complicated since not everybody has an italian fiscal number. The major hint is that 5W cannot be received by everybody so paid IPTV servers might be the alternative for them.

I appreciate that Gigablue has taken MIS serious as well and hope to see implementing more features.

You miss a point, we the Greeks talking how nice would be to have MIS for Italians!!

Italians on the other hand instead of doing like crazy asking for Multistream, they are not even asking about that in major sat distributors (again i am talking about average sat users, maybe those dont follow forums at all).

So when Italians start asking for that, yeah then you will see more boxes coming.

Moreover, did you see any Italian sat related magazine writing how to receive 5W?

Maybe now you should train Italians to ask for multistream

Of course I will talk about this to any Italian I have contact to but most of them aren't interested at all in italian television. I am sure from reading in the last couple of years in german sat related boards that there are people seeking for italian TV.
Others may don't have access to satellites transmitting them because of local restrictions and thus even pay 7€ monthly for a few SD stations that one might get for free from 13E. These of course are potentially going to pay for an IPTV server instead with all the risks included.
Inside of Italy of course the terrestrial coverage is excellent so none would ever ask for receiving 5W for those but maybe for the few french stations and these people must be a very small minority.
As for italian print magazines it's been a very long time since I have read any. Though there are some sat freaks discussing the ability of MIS here. As far as I have understood most of the Italians abroad write to foreign boards and aren't even aware of this originated in Italy.
For me MIS is very interesting not only because I am interested in italian culture and language but also because of the fact that I would never get 13E. Further on tecnically seen 5W is the source for terrestrial distribution and therefore I would always favour them instead of the remultiplexed stuff of Tivùsat.
