The remote control issue is fixed now. I could change between standard and et9000. I still have an issue with the dream rc, possibly a problem with the version of my dream rc, but i have to clarify this by my own.

i think that there are two versions of dmm control to select in the menu "dmm" and "dmm advanced" ...

This is only related to an additional row of 4 buttons for using vcr (pause, play etc). My experiance on other boxes was that it did not matter to select "dmm" or "dmm advanced"

Meanwhile the SF4008 has the same look and feel like my former et9000 beside of using the dream remote control.
developers: could you please tell me at what files i could "screw" to possibly get success in changing into my beloved dream remote control :-)
If these are xml or python files i could try to find something out hopefully.

thanks georgeflu i expected something like this that they support a different DMM remote control (i have the silver one from a DM7020 (not hd))
thanks stpierre i will compare those files to my et9000 - this is something i was looking for and it is worth a try.

bad luck with those files: keymap.xml seems to describe a semantic only. setup.xml does not contain any rc information. What i am seeking is a file that contains raw hex values or so those are associated to a certain remote control.
